8. OT's always do it with a purpose.
7. OT's grade the activity for optimal performance.

HHAHAAHAHAHAA...I think I'm the only person who reads this blog that will find this funny...some people in the Masters class are making this a t-shirt for their fundraising campaign to go on placement in Belize and Cameroon.

Made my day. Pretty sad that stuff like this makes my day. Aprile Cusi, you know what I mean. Friends? What friends??

Technology

I've had my video iPod for 3 months now and I just discovered the beauty of podcasts! For those of you who are on the same "behind the times" level as I am, podcasts are these usually free radio broadcast type files that you can download to your iPod and if you subscribe to it you can get new ones on your computer each day!! FREE! So far I've subscribed to:
  • MySportsRadio.com College Basketball
  • BBC News Radio
  • Business Week
  • ESPN Radio
  • ESPN.com Mix
  • BBC's "In Our Time"
  • KCRW's Left, Right, and Center
  • Lonely Planet Travelcasts

    REALLY NEED THAT VACATION...

Saw Inside Man last night...I would give 3.5/5 stars. Reminds me of Oceans 11!!

LSU and UCLA...first two teams in the Final 4? The red on my bracket is so overwhelming it's ridiculous. Next year I'm going to choose teams according to their uniform. My faves so far include: UConn, St. John's, Texas...oh great. Looks like I'm headed for the same fate. Maybe I'll choose according to mascot? WOO WEE the Stanford Cardinal...not to be confused with the bird (it's a TREE)...or the Ohio State Buckeye...a NUT! And you thought our kilt wearing bagpipe playing Na Banrigin something or other was embarassing...

Here's some old school for you...

(Ever wonder if what you're looking for doesn't exist? Maybe this is it?)

    HEE HEE!!

    My reason for living...

It's March and people went to the DR, Cuba, you name it on a vacation. People are escaping the winter blues and cruising the ocean.

Me? I enjoy wearing elastic pants and bball jerseys in my frigidly cold basement on my double mattress with my laptop, fridge and remote control all within an arm's reach. Why would I go to Cancun when I can watch the crap get beaten out of the number 1 team in the nation with the number 2 scorer in the nation scoring 3/19 FGs, 3/9 3PTs, and 11 points, less than half of his season average?

Big Baby's gonna be the next Shaq. LSU. Coincidence? I think not!

UPDATE: Adam Morrison and J.J. Redick out of the Big Dance on opening night of the Sweet Sixteen. Oh, the joy of hearing brackets bust and the "2 best players in the NCAA" sobbing like babies...

    WHEE!

Today we find out about the France tour!! :)
Yesterday went dress shopping with J.Lo...she bought the nicest dress!
    "You're not even Catholic..."
"How do you say it again? Catholicism?"

    Just trying to get by...

    :)

We shall find peace. We shall hear the angels, we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.
    - Anton Chekhov

To all my lovely ones...you know who you are. To the ones who need this the most at this time. I wish I could offer you all the advice in the world...but sometimes you just have to do what you need to do. Troubled times. I wish I was there with you. And like I said, I can't tell you what to do. I can't tell you what you should do. All I can say is that you have to do what you need to do at the time. Sometimes practicality isn't always going to be an option. Just be glad you're not as headstrong or as stubborn as I am. :)

    You live and you learn.

I wish I could tell you all the right answers...and promise you that there would be a favorable outcome. Or give you some odds at least. I hate to hear you cry, to see you sad, to hear all that I do and to understand your frustration. Sometimes, what we all need is a big dose of reality. Sometimes, we need to make mistakes, or we'll never move forward. Sometimes we even need to make mistakes twice.

So whatever the case may be, remember that you're doing what you're doing for a reason. Whether it's a good one or not, it has to be up to you to judge. Sometimes you have to do what makes you happy. But just know that it's never the end. That there are great things out there waiting for you (and me too, hopefully). :)

So don't believe that this is the be all and end all of the rest of your life. Remember that the worst case scenario is that this is only the new beginning of something great...

This is the worst day of my life

It all started with a phone call from Tristan asking me to go to Detroit with him to see Round 1 of March Madness 2006. West Virginia vs. Southern Illinois. HOWEVER, it just happens to be my already scheduled midterm evaluation with my preceptors. EFFER. I don't know why I didn't plan ahead. I KNEW it was March Madness. I'm such an idiot. So we both suggested an even better alternative...the Sweet Sixteen/Elite 8 East Regionals at the MCI Center in Washington, DC March 24 and 26. A 9.5 hour drive, but worth it to see UConn, Tennessee, Illinois, UNC, Kentucky...etc. And all was looking well...and BAM...no tickets left in Oakland or Washington!! How could this be...well it IS kind of last minute but there are tickets left in Minneapolis and Atlanta.

    Humdingeroo.

My biggest and only regret of my life was not going to Syracuse last year to see UNC in the Elite 8, especially when we were in Kingston.

Okay this is the second worst day of my life.

MARK THIS POST. March 15 and 17, 2007. We're ALL going down to Buffalo, NY and maybe Columbus, OH.

    BAH HUMBUG.

    Humor

Mark says: Love wasn't put in the heart to stay, for love isn't love 'til you give it away.
Mark says: Thats my pickup line for next friday

HAHAHAAHA I miss you, Mark. I'll try my best to drop by on Friday night after work. Just to hear you use that line on some poor unsuspecting soul who has no idea how weird you actually are.

    HUMDINGS

Absolutely nothing exciting has happened lately. Nothing even funny. No pictures taken unless you would all like a picture of my desk at work or some BR clothes. Oh what a life. :)

Tonight was fun though with VChau and dinner and "Walk The Line". She makes me laugh until my tummy hurts. Will you marry me?

Just over a month left before I'm leaving on a jet plane...so much to do before then!!! Hanging in there until then...

If anyone's done their portfolio...can you please tell me what to do? Or do it for me?

It's like one of those assignments you keep putting off because you hate doing it or you're dreading it so bad and you wish so much you didn't have to do it, but you know you have to yet you put it at the back of your mind until the very last minute anyway. Until you're pressured and you absolutely have to do it. Deadlines. There are no ifs, ands, or buts. Sometimes you just have to suck your pride and dignity right up. Sometimes, you just gotta know. Throw the stubbornness out the window...and do it.

    Humdinger to the nth degree.
